Crushed Velvet is an experienced function band that can cater to any event.

We are available for bookings as small as a three-piece jazz trio to a full-size big band. We are experienced in performing at a host of occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, garden parties, festivals, charity events, awards evenings, work functions, and pub gigs.

We can be background music or the main event! Our huge repertoire spans the decades, from 1940s jazz, to 60s soul, 70s disco, 80s funk, and modern hits – there’s something for everyone.

We take requests, to tailor each event to your needs.
We are very experienced in playing together and believe our chemistry as a group and our passion shines through, making our events polished and full of fun.

We are a group of close friends who met through music at university. Our friendship and passion for rehearsing and performing together led us to form Crushed Velvet – so that we can keep doing what we love with the people we love.
